Mayiladuturai - Mysore Exp should be diverted via Salem-Namakal-Karur section. MYS-TPJ can be hauled by electric loco without any Loco reversal at Erode and will relieve one slot in SA-ED-KRR section.
Should be converted to 23/24 coach train and speed up to cover SBC-TPJ in 8 hrs @ 47.4 Kmph
MV-MYS in 13 hr 30 min @ 47.2 Kmph

Mysuru: 17.30
Bengaluru: 20.00/20.20
Salem: 1.00/1.05
Namakal: 2.05
Karur: 2.35
Tiruchchirapalli: 4.20/4.30
Mayiladuturai: 7.00

Mayiladuturai: 19.00
Tiruchchirapalli: 21.30/21.40
Karur: 23.05
Namakal: 23.35
Salem: 0.45/0.50
Bengaluru: 5.50/6.00
Mysuru: 8.30

yes, that way it can go straight from TPJ to SA after the TPJ-SA via KRR-NKL stretch opens after CRS, I think by 2nd week of Jan. 2019

SBC - SA section is non-electrified, also it has good patronage from Hosur, so diverting via Tirupattur will put the passengers in difficult.

______________
Thanks

Good suggestions! The only train serving 8-10 districts to SBC can have better timings at TPJ/SBC - 16231 TPJ after 21.00 and 16232 too SBC after 21.30.

Rest of route remain the same only diversion via namakkal and speeded up to cover SBC - TPJ in 8 hrs.
All train from Bengaluru to Central TN, Southern TN, Western TN and Eastern TN must be Via Hosur. Hosur well connected to south Bengaluru.
Terminal facility at Hosur will be very useful to run trains to rest of TN.
Doubling of SA-DPJ-HSRA-BYPL should be taken up on priority by SWR.

For the first time to my knowledge, GOC shed WDP 3A 15501 hauls regularly the MYS and MV - TPJ exp. This loco had taken charge by sending off ED WDM 3D loco.
